ACG has been
founded and angel funded by Yaga Consulting Pvt. Ltd. Hyderabad, India.
It maintains an arms--length relationship with
corporations, industry associations, and professional bodies to maintain
its independent and academic character. It has received no public
donations/contributions.
The Academy leverages on the unique and
outstanding intangible assets built-up over the years by
its core team which is international. These include, years of research,
hands on board experience,
director training; policy meets/conferences/round tables and consulting in
the generic, sectoral, and advanced areas of corporate governance, spanning over 32 countries and
international organizations such as Commonwealth Secretariat, London;
The World Bank Group; SEDF; ILO; AsDB; AfDB OECD; GCGF and ICGN.
Objectives
- Be an
independent think-tank for knowledge development, capacity building
and advocacy in corporate governance.

Be a support
to international practitioners and policy makers and join in
advanced theoretical debate, critique, research and analysis on
aspects related to Corporate Governance.
- Undertake
research, training, educational and application activities in
corporate governance.
- Draw upon the
knowledge, resources and linkages with multi-lateral/international
bodies for the benefit of the corporate governance effort.
